The black screen might be the most frustrating issue for the laptop user to ever experience after the blue screen problem. It is because it presents no error message to specify why this happens.

In the case of Laptop Running But No Display (For Removable Battery Only)
Your Laptop power is on, the light indicator also works fine, you hear the sound, and it’s positively running, but the screen shows nothing but a blank display.
If you face this situation, the first thing you want to try is to turn off your laptop, remove its charger, and remove the Li-ion battery. Push and hold the on/off or power button for 15 to 30 seconds or press the button for 10 to 15 times.
Reattach the battery, turn on your laptop again and see if the problem persists. If so, I suggest you bring it to the experts.
Display Goes Blank After System Startup
Boot your notebook in safe mode and checks if the screen display usually works. After you can enter to safe mode and your screen display doesn’t turn black, it might be a video card problem.
Now log into windows and open the device manager by pressing ‘Windows‘+’x‘ combination button, go to Display Adapters > your Display Adapter right clicks on it and uninstall.
Restart your laptop. Windows will automatically detect the install display adapter driver in your system and reinstall it. If it asks to reboot, reboot it again.
If the problem remains after reboot, boot in safe mode again with networking (safe mode with networking allows you to go online). Download and install the latest driver of your video card.
Screen Turn Black After Log Into Windows
This unexpected black screen problem may occur upon updating your operating system (could be any other factors too). This quick fix can use after you’re able to log into your OS and the screen displays nothing or blank.
So, go to Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc. If the Task Manager appears, go to File > Run New Task, type “explorer.exe” and click ‘Ok’ button or just hit enter. I’ve done this before, and it worked fine on my laptop.
The black screen issue is hard to define clearly on desktop PC because the system doesn’t show you any error notifications. However, when it comes to the laptop computer, this problem may not complex when compared to a desktop.
